In the delegation of representatives of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus and JSCB Belarusbank, which will hold talks between June 17 and 22, 2017 in Khartoum (Republic of Sudan) and Cairo (Arab Republic of Egypt), the head of the department for coordination of foreign economic and commercial activities of the "Belresursy" GO - The managing company of the holding "Belresursy" Pavel Kokhno.

The purpose of the talks is to work with the Sudanese and Egyptian sides on the possibility of using mechanisms of non-monetary termination of obligations for foreign trade operations when exporting Belarusian goods and services to the Republic of Sudan and the Arab Republic of Egypt, including by organizing counter deliveries of goods from these countries in exchange for supplied Belarusian products.

Following the official visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the Republic of Sudan in January 2017, the Government of the Republic of Belarus was instructed to work with the Sudanese side on the possibility of using a non-monetary termination of obligations for foreign trade operations in the export of goods and services to the Republic of the Sudan.

Belarus already has a similar experience in the successful implementation of the Intergovernmental Agreement of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Cuba on mutual deliveries, the executor of which from the Belarusian side is the Belresursy GO, the managing company of the Belresursy holding company. Also, the Belresursy management company, the managing company of the Belresursy holding, has gained experience in studying the issue of barter operations with Egypt. In this connection, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus considered it expedient to define the "national Belarusian operator" to organize counter deliveries with the Sudan side of the "Belresursy" GO, the managing company of the "Belresursy" holding company.
